Baked Ziti

1 lb. dry ziti pasta (aka penne pasta)

1 onion chopped

1 lb lean ground beef

2 26oz. jars spaghetti sauce

6 ounces provolone cheese

1 1/2 cups sour cream

6 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

2 TB grated parmesan cheese

Bring a large pot of slightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain.

In a large skillet brown onion and ground beef over med. heat. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Layer as follows:

1/2 the ziti, provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 the sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese, and remaining sauce mixture.

Top with the grated parmesan cheese.

Bake 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.
